Pricing Analyst

General Summary:

Reports to the Business Support Manager

Primary Responsibility:

Manage digital database of all items carried in the warehouse through creation of new vendors and new items as well as updates to vendor and item databases as warranted. Analyze pricing actions taken by suppliers to provide Category Managers with analysis for approval, ensuring member pricing remains competitive while company profit strategies are maintained. Coordinate pricing on behalf of direct-store-delivery suppliers (DSD) and communicate to members. Verify promotional pricing communications.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and update vendor master file daily as needed with creation of new suppliers and updates to supplier contact details as changes are submitted
  • Maintain and update master item file daily with creation of new items and updates to item records per changes communicated by suppliers
    • Create entries for new products based on approved new items from Category Managers
    • Entries will include assignment of GHRA item code, product image, as well as all item attributes provided by supplier via New Item document
    • Responsible for SKU digital photography if sufficient image not provided by supplier
  • Generate Price Change Analysis reports recommending pricing actions based upon supplier communication of cost changes and while maintaining category margin targets
    • Execute pricing actions upon Category Manager approval
  • Suggested Retail Pricing (SRP) management for all warehouse and DSD product, including competitor pricing analysis to ensure retail pricing recommended to members balances profit and competitiveness in the ever-changing marketplace
  • Create monthly DSD beverage pricing document for timely posting on member portal
  • Confirm monthly promotional pricing for spanner and poster activity with suppliers
  • Review all costs/pricing details in monthly magazine to ensure accuracy
  • Support members price books via timely communication to Modisoft/TallyQuick of a monthly upload file, by UPC, including all promo items and pricing for following month
  • Correct any data entry errors that are reported
  • Work closely with Marketing team by providing all the necessary data as requested (product pictures, description, Item UPC etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested per management

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in consumer goods within a marketing/marketing support role
  • High level of experience with Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Cross functional experience
  • Experience with accurate prior data entry required

Educational Requirements:

  • • High School Diploma or higher educational qualification

Physical Requirements:

  • May be standing or sitting for extend period of times
  • Occasional light travel
  • Extended period of time working in front of computer monitor
