General Summary:
Reports to the Director of Brand Marketing
Primary Responsibility:
Plans, organizes, and manages all social media strategies, platforms and online engagement for all company brands.
Essential Functions:
- Create and manage a social media platform including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram and help create an online community forum that you will have engagement oversite of.
- Create content, schedules, social media calendar with the goal of expanding the company Brand’s online presence, following and customer satisfaction.
- Help to create and execute the company’s YouTube Shorts strategy, Blogging platforms, Instagram Reels strategy and TikTok Video Strategy (with the oversight of the Director of Marketing).
- Serve as the online ‘front person’ for the company in all online conversations.
- Funnel sales opportunities, marketing opportunities, customer issues, etc. to the appropriate person/team; must be proactive and take initiative in learning what conversations warrant further review and action by the appropriate department.
- Produce social media campaign reports on a regular basis.
- Basic video editing of social media videos (you can choose whatever video editing software you prefer).
- Digital Ad placement experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar field.
- Experience working as a Social Media Specialist for B2C companies. C-store Space ideal.
- 5-7 Years related experience
- Exceptional online engagement communication skills; must be able to handle negative online comments, address online customer complaints/grievances and respond to all online conversations with professionalism and decisive action when necessary.
- Great sense of Creativity; online engagement is about building rapport. Must be able to build excitement with new and existing customers in a conversational, rapport-building style.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in Affiliate Marketing and Influencer Marketing is of great interest. We are in the process of developing several key brands and their affiliate and influencer marketing strategy. Eagerness to proactively learn affiliate and influencer marketing.
- HubSpot CRM/Social Media management experience or similar platforms to HubSpot and Hootsuite or its’ equivalent.
- A natural learner; enthused and motivated when asked to take on new projects, learn new software, develop new skills to meet the needs of marketing.
- Strong ideation skills and confidence in presenting your ideas to leadership/peers. This is not a sit-back-and-wait-to-be-told job. The Director of Marketing needs someone who is continuously discovering new/better ways to improve the company’s online social media and community engagement. You must be vocal about your ideas to be a good fit for this role.
- True team mindset. Must be someone who seeks to help, supports peers in their efforts and demonstrates a genuine desire to help the company, yourself and others succeed.
- Extreme follow-up and follow-through skills. You own your work and pride yourself in ensuring peer-delegated / department delegated tasks are completed.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and or Communication
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word
- Experience managing websites preferred
- HubSpot CRM/Social Media management experience or similar platforms to HubSpot and Hootsuite or its’ equivalent.
