Job Description

GHRA Fuels – Territory Manager

General Summary:

Reports to Director of Fuels

Primary Responsibility:

The Territory Manager will collaboratively work with GHRA Fuels in sales, marketing, and operations to manage existing customer relationships, as well as develop new opportunities that help profitably grow the business.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain existing book of business as well as identify and develop growth opportunities balancing the needs of the company.
  • Engage new clients through prospecting activities including but not limited to cold calling, emailing, social selling, attending conferences and networking.
  • Establish new customer accounts in accordance with GHRA Fuels’ credit policies and procedures.
  • Field inbound customer calls and emails responding to each inquiry in a timely manner.
  • Prepare quotes and customer proposals with profitability, operational capacity, and supply chain factors taken into consideration.
  • Work with accounts receivables group to collect outstanding balances as well as troubleshoot billing issues and inefficiencies in customer’s invoicing process.
  • Participate in required training to gain product and industry knowledge.
  • Maintain customer fuels contracts in response to market price fluctuations for refined products.
  • Coordinate with safety, operations, and GHRA Fuels’ insurance provider to fulfill customer requests for pre-qualification information.
  • Enter orders as needed servicing as a backup to GHRA Fuels’ Dispatch, Customer Service, and Call Center.
  • Follow up with website customer inquiries and utilize marketing tools to engage customers through email and other marketing outreach campaigns.
  • Manage customer pricing on an ongoing basis in response to marketing price fluctuations.

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+years of Customer Service experience in B2B (Business-to-Business) or B2C (Business-to-Consumer) Industry
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience with Fuels Distribution and Inventory Management practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, MS Teams and Outlook.
  • Must have strong problem-solving abilities coupled with strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Needs to possess a knowledge of Unbranded and Branded Fuels wholesale business.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated success in a similar sales role with quotas and sales targets
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask, manage priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional customer service and strong listening skills
  • Comfortable with a goal-oriented work environment with annual sales target objectives
  • Strong Analytical skills and ability to gather data to make profitable business decisions
  • Ability to manage conflict in a professional and constructive manner
  • Flexible schedule; able to travel as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Candidates must pass a background check, drug screen and other job requirements.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Finance or Economics preferred (Professional sales concentration a plus)

Physical Requirements:

  • May be driving, standing or sitting for extend period of times
  • Able to lift, carry, and lower totes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Assigned territory travel
  • Some days of prolonged walking

Additional Information:

Starting Date: Immediate

Salary Range $55,000 – $65,000 plus car allowance

Annual Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus plus commissions
